The Houston Children's Festival is this weekend in Houston. It is a really cool festival. Savannah will definitely have lots of fun in the coming years. This year the main attractions for her were the pony rides and the petting zoo. We actually brought the camera out of hiding for the day to capture some of the fun.

No News...
We are 38 weeks pregnant and we had a doctor's appointment today. Basically, there is nothing to report. My Dr. fully expects to see me in her office again next week. For those of you who don't remember, we had to induce Savannah 8 days late. So, we may be in for going that route again this time. As long as Annabeth is healthy and ready to be born, she is welcome to arrive whenever she feels ready. We promise to let people know when there is someone new to share.

Happy Easter
We had a wonderful Easter in Conroe with Heather's family. We had a neighborhood egg hunt and Savannah had her own egg hunt at grandma's and grandpa's house. Here are some of the highlights...
Now that we have made it through Easter we are in full Annabeth mode. We are officially full term now and we are just waiting to see when she will make her debut. The camera is now packed in the bag, so we won't be taking many pictures until she arrives. We promise to update the blog as soon as we can after she is born.

Beautiful azaleas
My favorite time of year in Houston is this week. The azaleas are in full bloom, the rodeo is here, and the weather is beautiful. We continued a tradition today where we dress Savannah up and take her picture surrounded by the azaleas. This particular photo shoot took place two blocks from the house. We are so blessed to be able to live in such a great part of town that feels uncrowded yet is so close to downtown. Here are some of the shots we really love.

Her name is...
Annabeth Michelle Golden
We revealed the name our little girl to our parents recently. We created a puzzle that has her name in it and gave it to our parents to solve.
We revealed the name our little girl to our parents recently. We created a puzzle that has her name in it and gave it to our parents to solve.
We came up with her name by using Heather's middle name of Ann and the feminine form Sean's middle name of Michael. Sean has always liked the name Beth, so we decided to combine Beth with Ann. We intend to call her Annabeth (Heather is not a fan of nicknames).
Heather's family was actually given two puzzles that were almost identical to work out at the same time. We combined all the pieces, so it was really difficult. Heather is sure this is great payback for something her parents made her do when she was growing up.
Sean was kinder to his parents and gave them one puzzle to solve. Unfortunately without a picture to work from and very few color variations the puzzle was still a difficult undertaking.
We have only about a month left until we will meet our new little girl. We are excited to begin this new chapter with our second child.
