Our Crazy Christmas

We had a fabulous and very busy Christmas this year. We went to Phoenix to visit Heather's family and to attend the wedding of one of Heather's cousins. Here are some photos of all the events.

The Holidays

So, the holidays have been so busy I have not posted any of the cute pictures we have taken of Savannah. So, I will try to catch up now. So, here goes...

Savannah is not so sure about this Santa character.

Even when Mama is holding her, she still is holding on for dear life.

One Thursday afternoon Rice Village had some Christmas festivities. Here is Savannah riding on the "train". Apparently this is very serious business.

Savannah's first encounter with "snow". The best picture from this is on the Christmas card. You will just have to wait to see it.

We took Savannah to see this amazing light display in a neighborhood by her Grandparents in Conroe. She loved it. The whole thing is choreographed to several diferent songs. They even had three bubble machines (Savannah's favorite).

We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

It's a Girl!!

We are thrilled to announce our second baby, arriving in April, is a girl. Savannah will get to have a sister. Hopefully she will enjoy our new addition without too much jealousy.

One very wet Savannah!

This pudding stuff sure is yummy.

Halloween Fun

Our Halloween started on Monday, Oct. 29th at the Children's Museum of Houston. Savannah had a blast playing in the old Ford Mustang they have there.

On Tuesday we went to a party at Gymboree. She had lots of fun running around with her friends, her mom, and her grandparents.

We hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween!

Zoo Boo

We attended the first weekend of Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo this weekend for Sean's company picnic. We think Savannah looked quite cute as a lady bug.

So much news...

Well, we have been remiss with this blog lately. Hopefully we can get everyone caught up now. The biggest news is that we are expecting our second child on April 16, 2008. We had our first ultrasound today. Everything looks great. The baby was kicking and moving around lots. It is growing right on schedule.

We finally sold our old home. While we will miss all the good memories we had there, we are glad to have moved on to our new place. If only all the boxes would unpack themselves...

Savannah started mother's day out, much to her disappointment. Although we got a good report today, so I think she is starting to adjust. Some of her new tricks include wearing our shoes and clothes to be like mama and daddy. It is really cute. She is also fascinated with climbing into our cabinets. Of course the best way to test out a mixing bowl is to sit in it and spin around in circles. Here are a few cute pictures.

Boy, that summer heat is enough to totally wear you out!!

It is so hot outside, Ally only has the energy to jump on the couch and sleep.

Even Sophie is tired.

Well, it seems Savannah missed the tired memo, she has been staying up until 9 and 10 at night playing. Then she wakes up at 6 am.

She sure loves a balloon though!!

Yogurt, yogurt everywhere!

Savannah has been learning to feed herself yogurt with a spoon. Here are the results...

She is quite pleased with her work, we hope you are too.

Chillin' with my Puppies and the Fourth of July

We have been busy recovering from the tummy flu and unpacking this week. Here 's hoping everyone feels better next week.

Savannah has been busy pulling all her DVD cases out of the new TV stand. Ally is supervising to make sure it is done to her specifications.

Sophie is so tired, she is blocking out the light with her Astros helmet.

The Fourth of July was so much fun. Heather and Savannah went up to Conroe to visit Heather's family and participate in the Walden parade. Thankfully we beat the rain so a fun time was had by all.

Savannah is having fun watching the parade go by in front of her.

"What is that loud noise?"

Fabulous fly-by during the parade.

Later that evening we walked to Hermann Park and listened to the symphony. We left just in time to walk home and catch the fireworks from our third floor balcony.

Next year we will have to have our family and friends come watch with us. It was too perfect a view.

I scream, you scream, Savannah screams for ice cream!!!

It was a very hot day and Savannah and Sean had been outside playing. So, it was time for ice cream.

Savannah is trying to use her spoon, but is not as successful as she would hope.

"How does Daddy get the spoon into his mouth like that?"

"I guess I will just use my hands."

It is all fun and games until the ice cream runs out!

The Perfect Storm...

Well, no one ever said that moving was easy. Unfortunately we have taken the difficult and made it Mission Impossible 4: The Perfect Storm. Suffice it to say, our move has been complete with illness, teething and limited commercial interruptions. We ended up closing a week late, thus the move was completed a week late. On moving day we were about to build an ark at one point due to all the rain. Thankfully it finally abated to allow the move to continue. Then Heather got sick and Savannah started to cut her molars. This led to Sean having to take off work and bring in the Golden grandparents as replacements for a day. After three attempts we finally have a home phone. However, cable still seems to be a couple of weeks away. Apparently no one, including the US Postal service, knows our new home exists. We are working to rectify that situation. We hope things will start to smooth out here soon. Here are some cute pictures of Savannah "helping" us move.

Bye, bye Ulricksons...

We are very sad to see our friends Amy, Matt and Heidi Ulrickson move to Boston. We have thoroughly enjoyed having them in our lives this year. We will miss them every day.

Amy, Christy & I out for one last girls' night out!

Heidi at her Bon Voyage party at Gymboree. Savannah already misses her sweet friend.

It's Official, We're Moving!

Well, we found a townhouse that we could not resist. So, we are moving. It has four bedrooms and a study. It has a small fenced yard and lots of balconies. It is located in the Museum District of Houston. So, that means Heather can just walk to all the places she takes Savannah on a daily basis instead of driving!! We are so excited. Here are some pictures I pulled off the MLS of the house. We can't wait for everyone to come and visit our new abode. (We will even have a dedicated guest room!)

This is the front of the house.

The living room - on the second floor.

The kitchen - also on the second floor.

The formal dining room (also on the second floor) - we are going to use this as a play room.

The master bedroom on the third floor - we even have our own balcony.

The master bath - I am so excited about the granite countertops in here.

Savannah's room and another bedroom (each with a private bath) and the laundry room are also on the third floor. The first floor has the guest room (with a private bath) and the study.
