Busy summer days

We have had some fun these last couple of weeks. Sean's aunt, uncle and cousins from Colorado came to visit for several days. Our outings included a trip to the galleria, the aquarium, and Lake Conroe. We were quite the sight with Savannah wanting to run everywhere (typically with an adult trailing her yelling "slow down"), Annabeth - the sweet trooper that she is - out way past her bedtime and having a meltdown or two, and Samantha's service dog in training, Dillon (an 11 week old black lab). I wonder if the businesses we patronized will ever be the same again. Nevertheless, it was fun to see them all.

We also have a gazillion family birthdays to celebrate this month (read: we are now broke). So, a collective "Happy Birthday" to Amy, Pat, Derrick, Grandma, Katie, Mom, and Matt.

Finally, Annabeth had her 4 month well child visit today. Here is my issue with the "well child" visit. You bring in a perfectly happy child and take home a crying mess, not to mention the baby. Ahem, I digress. She officially turned 4 months old yesterday. Annabeth is 13.5 lbs and 24.25 inches tall. She is in the 34th percentile for weight and 35th percentile for height. So, unlike her sister, she is quite proportional right now. She has some fabulous chubby thighs and an adorable budda belly. I promise to start taking more pictures soon. I have been lax.

Good times at The Wiggles concert

We went to see The Wiggles in concert on Sunday evening with Meg and Christy. We had so much fun. Here are some of the highlights...

Savannah eagerly awaiting the concert, she is a little unsure of where we are or why we are there.

Scenes of Summer in Houston

Scenes of summer in Houston (read: lots of time inside as it is way too hot to venture outside when not in the exact vicinity of a pool)...

Annabeth enjoying the saucer
Savannah taking in the movie Annie with Sophie.
Ally is riveted by the scenes in Annie with Sandy the dog. She is a big admirer of his work.
Daddy's girls vying for his attention (although this picture is missing the two dogs and I, make no mistake we compete with the best of them for Sean's time and attention!!)

Sick, sick, sick...

This week all three of the Golden Girls had a nasty cold. So, you don't want to see pictures of that, it has not been pretty. Luckily my mom was able to come and help one night while Sean was out of town. I think we are now on the mend, so hopefully I can get some good pictures on here soon.

Last week I took the girls to the Picture People. Once I have the link for where they have put the pictures online, I will post it here for everyone who is interested to see. I personally think they look realy cute. However, I'll let you be the judge.

Quiet weekends at home...

I love a quiet weekend at home with Sean and our girls. Annabeth is finally starting to sleep a little better at night, so we may have the energy to go do more in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we are enjoying our lazy weekends.

Fourth of July Fun

We had a fun 4th of July at Hermann Park. Savannah ran and chased the ducks and Annabeth just took it all in.

You know you have been accepted as a pack member when...

The other night we were making sure Annabeth was good and tired before we all went to bed. She fell asleep on the floor with the doggies. Clearly they have decided she is a member of their pack. So cute!

We got a saucer thing for Annabeth. She is strong enough to use it, but not quite big enough. I guess we will just keep rigging it up until she grows into it. In the meantime it does look a little silly.
I took the girls up to the lake this week for some grandparent time. She and Grandpa had a great time in the pool together.
